OUR SCHOOL
Our School helps students to develop grace, composure and style. It also provides a fun way to exercise and get rid of stress. We, as teachers pride ourselves in being approachable to both students and parents and in helping students of all abilities, including the encouragement of special needs children.
CLASS GUIDE
We have several classes available. Students do approximately 10-15 minutes of stretch/warm-up, which also helps to tone the body and help with balance. Then students take part in corner steps to help with co-ordination and travel across the floor.
The remainder of each class is used to work on routines which helps with memory and gives a sense of achievement to students knowing they have left the class learning something. We generally teach according to the majority of preference by the students and parents while still maintaining an all-round base of styles. The classes consist of both experienced and beginner students and each level is catered for in a very relaxed environment.
WHY DO WE SEPARATE STYLES?
* Students can choose the style/s they prefer.
* It is very difficult for students to learn the correct technique required for each style if the styles are combined in a 1hr class.
* Students often prefer do participate in more than 1 class on a weekly basis.
* Students participating in more than 1 class enjoy the social aspect of spending more time with friends and fellow team members.
* More classes, mean more physical activity/exercise away from today's technology driven world. Very important as students become older. The physical aspect is proven to enhance concentration when returning to academic study.
* Many parents like the idea of being able to leave their children in class for a few classes so they have ample time to catch up with fellow dance parents/guardians, do the shopping, cook dinner, clean the house, get siblings to other lessons etc :o)
UNSURE YOU CAN MAKE A YEAR COMMITMENT?
Most programs are designed on a full year’s attendance; however we are happy to enrol you in any term if there is a vacancy. Should you be unable to partake in the end of year performance, please make us aware as soon as possible?
